Q1 is Right around the Corner

Grab the bull by the horns.

Put your shoulder to the wheel.

Keep your eyes on the prize.

Whatever cliché you might want to use, the bottom line is that it’ll soon be time to begin a brand new Q1 and you need to be ready to… well, jump in head first. Here are some steps you can take:

But according to many scientists, our Christmases Yet-to-Come promise some amazing new wonders. Let’s look at the predictions that could be coming true in the next ten years:

Stop perseverating about content

Do you struggle every week or month to generate valuable content for your prospects or customers?

What to write about… how much and how often… how to give without giving away the farm… how to monetize the effort…

In fact, the strategy for writing content is, or should be, closely aligned with how you run your business. It’s not about throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks, or it shouldn’t be.

Before You Create That Content Marketing Plan…

You’ve probably heard the phrase ‘content marketing’ somewhere in your travels. If you haven’t, rest assured you probably will. It’s often cheaper than traditional advertising, more easily accessible to an increasingly mobile audience and provides a more valuable and personal touch.

Content marketing can indeed be a powerful way to take your business to the next level. But to get started, you’ll need a plan that works with your existing business goals. Here are some things to consider before you put that plan together:

Have you ever given any thought to what people will say about you at your funeral? Will they remember you fondly, tell delightful stories about your successes and describe how you were an inspiration to them?

We all want to have lived a fabulous life, a life full of satisfaction and meaning. We might want family, friends, and adventure. Or we may desire romance, a fulfilling career or engaging hobbies. Your life could have these and so much more. But how do we achieve this wonderful goal?

Persistence Can Sometimes Be ‘Your Greatest Gift’

Philip Van Doren Stern’s story The Greatest Gift starts simply enough: “The little town straggling up the hill was bright with colored Christmas lights. But George Pratt did not see them.” The holidays were anything but merry for Pratt. As far as he could tell, the town he lived in seemed to have little use for him, and neither did anyone else. Even the army, desperate for men to fill the ranks during World War II, had rejected him.

Remembering Pearl Harbor

Hawaii is a beautiful place to visit. It has spectacular beaches, awesome vistas found nowhere else in the world and, of course, some of planet Earth’s most perfect weather. While you’re there, you might choose to stay on the island of Oahu, home to the capital city of Honolulu. A little way west you’ll find the Pearl Harbor National Monument. It’s a serene place these days. You can tour the wreckage of the U.S.S. Arizona or quietly stroll through the grounds. Looking up at the peaceful blue sky and the palm trees gently swaying in the tropical breeze, it’s hard to image this place was once a scene of fiery destruction and death.
